Yes. Just make sure you:

1. Not into download mode from powered off state.
2. Factory reset from stock recovery immediately following success flash in Odin.

Your baseband will not update otherwise.

Thumbs up Thanks Mic !
Was having issues so I came to check for updates and low and behold 4.4.4 bestowed me. I must say Samsung and Google have done one hell of a job with this OS !

Im still on MJ4 rooted and have TWRP 2.6.3.7 installed.

Can I flash the NH7 tar through odin 3.07??

After that I guess I will have to reinstall the newest recovery, which is TWRP 2.8, then I should be able to flash ROMs. Is this correct??

You can flash this or any prior KitKat TouchWiz build, then any rom, but you'll never go back to jellybean.

So I can flash this tar through 3.07 Odin and while on the older version of TWRP? I want to make sure before I go for it.

Also is it safe to go straight from mj4 to nh7???

Flash a Super User Zip?
I'm still running Sac23 4.2.2, with engineering bootloader, TWRP 2.7.0.0, NH7 firmware.
I'd like to take the phone to stock rooted and maintain Hotspot functionality on LTE.
Once installed, can I use Auto-Root via Odin?
Will my existing Hotspot mod work with this stock Rom?
If not, what is the best option? Is one of the WiFi tether apps (from Google) better than another?

My desire to update is an attempt to gain functionality with bluetooth earpiece (Plantronics Voyager Edge)

I have read every post in this thread and have not seen a definitive answer to my questions. If I overlooked the obvious, my apologies.
