Hi, boeffla kernel (2.4) is compatible with this rom ?
Because when i install the .ZIP my phone won't reboot.

Is there a specific version of boeffla ?

Thanks

If we could know the base used for the rom, we won't have to flash both kernels to know which works ??

When I try to download the latest weekly I get this since a week now. Doesn't matter which browser I try, doesn't even work from desktop browser.

Hey guys,
I have a new/small problem. I have a Task by Tasker, when WiFi is connected the Lockscreen is disabled and when WiFi is not connected i have a locked Lockscreen. It's always good, but since yesterday i have a bug i think. Lockscreen is disabled, i press the home button to unlock my phone, i jump to the home screen. Then always the Taskmanager open. I press only one click, but always the vibration comes and the Taskmanager is then open.

Anyone knows the problem?

Hi, Great ROM this one, its doing wonders with my ol S3.
Thanks for DEV for this ROM and all his work.

Got couple of questions though, I tried to sift through old posts to see if someone already got an answer for these but I wasnt lucky.

1st, How do I disable the search ring thingy that pops from the bottom?

2nd and this is a bit of a weird one, but,
I have an alarm music going off at 12:00 noon my time with no seeable UI elements, I havnt set any alarms to ring so I have no clue whats ringing.. maybe someone have an Idea whats ringing?

On the bug report front, Themes dont stick to pop up windows after reboot.

And finally, it would be great if an option to configure physical buttons is added.

I haven't faced wake up lag till now, using the boeffla kernel.
Except the notification led not working while charging, this rom is working perfectly for me. @GIJS053 do you guys plan on implementing a battery saving mode in the future builds? It's kinda helpful when you're in a pinch and you need that extra bettery life.
Beautiful rom. Cheers. ?

Since this is the final Kitkat version that won't be implemented.
Especially since Google is coming with their own battery saver once L drops.

Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.

Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.

As stated above, we love to maintain authorship but we also like to publicly praise those that have helped us along the way with our wonderful project. With that said, this wouldn't be possible without the work and help of those listed below :) THANK YOU ALL!!

    READ THIS
Let's make a few things clear.

I won't give ETA's because I can't give them. There will be new stuff added (even if it's visual but "under the hood") and that means that it could break something. Fixing it could be easy but it can be hard.

This also means that it could take weeks before a new version is online but it could also be online in a couple days. There's not a schedule. I try to built weekly. And even when there isn't a new version in weeks, it doesn't mean that I'm doing nothing. I'm always busy and when it's ready you'll see a new version.

I hope that I've informed you well enough. If you still have questions, feel free to ask.

    Thanks for your patience. :)

    AND THIS
    FAQ

I cannot flash 4.4, I get an error on recovery about Status 7
You need to install CWM latest recovery. Philz or any other wont work. http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=2200501

ART does not work, I get FC everywhere
Art is in development, latest PA GAPPS will work, Titanium Backup, Skype, SuperSU wont. Latest Whatspp version doesnt work but this one does https://www.cubby.com/pl/WhatsApp-2-...f482a17a4a9e19
If you want stabilty switch to dalvik.
Somepeople have reported to have root working on ART by flashing 1.65 SuperSU update and setting it to always grant root. Try it at your own risk

    How can I enable ART?
    Developer settings

Im having problems with my keyboard
Try clearing the keyboard data or switch to another keyboard

My extFAT sdcard does not work
    Install an other kernel

I get FC on gapps when flashing a new version
Reflash gapps everytime you flash a new version, its the safest way atm

I dont like the ribbons, its redundant
    Wait

The battery icon ribbon is out of place. Plz fix it
    Its WIP

    Calendar does not sync
Use the Calendar from the Play Store

    How can I restore SMS?
    by @Goretto
About restoring SMS, follow these steps:
    - Go back to your previous rom (you did a nandroid backup, right?)
    - Backup your SMS with SMS Backup and Restore
    - Flash CM11 (V1 or V2 + fix, up to you)
    - Restore your SMS with SMS Backup and Restore but first make sure that SMS Backup and Restore is set as the default SMS App under settings. Once restored, you can set whichever SMS app you want as default (Messages, Hangouts or third party)

    Google Now does not work
Your country may not be supported by Google Now, try to use a VPN

Saying "Ok google" Does not work
Change google now lenguage to "English(US)"

Difference between normal gapps and PA Gapps?
PA Gapps are compatible with ART, it also has more apps (look at file size)

    With that said..
There were some pretty big discussions in the DU team last week. The following two changes came out of these discussions:
    1. We're now also posting our ROMs on http://www.rootzwiki.com
    2. We are going to be doing weeklies

    About the weeklies:
This is pretty big for us considering what we've said in the past about nightlies...... (For the ones that didn't knew this: WE DISLIKE NIGHTLIES)
We STILL believe that nightlies (at least for us and what we do) are pretty useless but have also come to the realization that it may not be reasonable to make people wait 2-3 weeks for an update that has a fix or something important.

With that said, we've setup Jenkins and we're rolling out the weeklies!

Here's the link where you can expect DU weeklies

Here's our jenkins if you want to keep up with what's going on :)

Thank you for your continued support!
