Well I was wondering if that is a similar deal like this recent apps tweak and if you knew where or which database it was in ?

Thanks!

Ok thanks! ... Are there any more tweaks like this that are merely database changes? If so, do you have a list of them? Just curious since they are easy tweaks to make... kinda reminds me of easy reg edits back in the WinMo days lol

Seems like this method doesn't work for 4.4.4 based ROMS, any workaround?

1 using a root exploer app navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db open this in SQlite editor
2 select system, scroll down to APP_SWITCH_KEY_BEHAVIOR (should be around #171) and change from 0 to 1
3 exit ( depending on sqlite app of choice save if prompted)
4 Reboot and profit

Thanks, but I am really looking to change the recent apps to the menu. It's strange that if you change the setting in the database, nothing happens.
