You're not an idiot...we were all in your place at one time. Be patient and read and when you think you've got it read some more. Sometimes it does get frustrating so when that happens just walk away for a little bit and relax. You'll get it. It actually becomes pretty easy after a bit.

If you flash all four files and it fails then just reset and don't flash the bootloader. It'll work

I had the same issue (the update consistently failed at the 32% mark). For me, turns out that the bootloader doesn't match, for reasons I'll never know.

What happens is, at the beginning of the process, it does a checksum on the existing portions it will update before it does the update. The reason for this is, all of the updates are patches, not overwrites. Therefore, if the file isn't exactly as expected, it will possibly brick your phone.

My phone was failing on the bootloader. Everything else matched, but the bootloader was different, despite it saying it is the NCE bootloader. I rolled the dice and commented out the check as well as the bootloader update-patch and it worked. So technically, my phone is ND3 all the way, except on an NCE bootloader. I run Dynamic Kat 2.0 via SafeStrap with no issues.

Thanks so much for this man! Accidentally soft bricked my phone and started to panic. Luckily I found your guide and now I'm back to my Android device
