im also having same issues of bootloop after flashing 5.0 factory image to 4.4.4, tried many times and with many different ways but still same.
i remember few days back i was on the older nexus root toolkit and that time it had upgraded and was working also but i went back to 4.4.4 because root wasnt working on 5.0 at that time so i guess its something to do with the toolkit thats causing the bootloop

---------- Post added at 11:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:03 AM ----------

the older version on which it worked was i think 1.9.3 or 1.9.4

there is nothing "in the toolkit that is causing a bootloop" - the flash stock procedure is standardized. Have your tried factory reseting? Have you tried enabling "post-flash factory reset"?

i even flashed stock 4.4.4 factory image and then tried to upgrade using OTA file which went through just fine but then when 5.0 is about to boot, it just boot loops on the splashscreen with the 4 colored dots

How long do you wait? It can take more than 10 minutes for first boot on lollipop.

Ok, yeah. That's a real bootloop. Have you tried flashing from an alternate USB port or computer?

i tried a different usb port as well as a different PC and after almost trying like more than 25 times it seems to me thats happenning due to something in the process of converting or upgrading the data partition

i tried a full format of all partitions and then did a factory image flash and then the device booted up fine but what i noticed was, after rooting and installing twrp, all was fine but as soon as u run the fix permissions in twrp the device again gets stuck in bootloop inspite of it being a fresh install without any apps

Why are you using fix permissions? That feature is not advisable at all and is likely a sure shot way to cause complications. After a clean flash, no additional measures need to be taken.

ok i tried one more time, now the issue is im rooted and thats fine using supersu beta version but in twrp i can see the sdcard etc but in android esexplorer dont seem to see the sdcard as well as installing titanium backup just gets stuck on searching for application data for ever plus android storage also shows sd card as nothing much on it,almost empty

---------- Post added at 03:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 PM ----------

plus when u click root in ur app it installs stuff but then again stuck on bootloop so i recommend u release an update with the latest supersu app (BETA-SuperSU-v2.27) or else more and more ppl will get stuck in bootloop if they use the root button in ur app. flashing the stock kernel also doesnt recover the device from bootloop.
im sick of this lollipop issues, i guess ill just wait till all issues r fixed, meanwhile i recommend others to stick to kitkat for now

Hello guys,
Ive been trying for hours to get back to stock or root my n10, and though I get fastboot and the device is rebooted, it always gets stuck at the "FASTBOOT STATUS - DATA001 4000"
and nothing happens, it times out.
I reboot, try again, same thing, regardless of whether I try to simply root or flash stock.
The command screen also says "sending recovery failed - data transfer failure Unknown error"
My current rom is kejar31's lollipop (not an option on the Nexus Toolkit menu, so I chose Android *.* Any)
Now I cannot boot the device, it stays in bootloader mode.
What can I do now?

Tx
Mark. (win 8.1)

since you are stuck in bootloader mode I would try flashing back to stock from softbrick/bootloop instead of normal and select the 5.0 option instead of *.* Also you can try a different port, or if possible, another computer.

Best of luck!

Hi, thanks, I had tried that and failed too... I managed to get lollipop with another nexus 10 toolkit on another pc with Windows 10, but still can't get root. Anyhow, it's not the end of the world [emoji6]

Hi, i used the tool kit to flash 5.0 on my nexus 10 and i have it running fine but my status bar and soft keys background are black. I noticed in video reviews of 5.0 that they should still be translucent. Any ideas whats up?

If anyone starts bootlooping for longer than 5 minutes after an unlock than you need to factory reset.

    1. Hold down the power button to shut the device off
    2. Restart the device holding all three buttons (vol up and down + power button)
    3. In bootloader mode, switch the big green START to the red RECOVERY using the volume buttons
    4. Enter stock recovery by pressing the power button
    5. You will see an android on its back
    6. Press Vol up + power button at the same time to enter the stock recovery menu
    7. Select "Factory Reset" with the volume buttons and press the power button to initiate it.
    8. After the factory reset your device should boot up normally.

TWRP fails here too. What did you do to fix the problem? I cant seem to get anything to work!

This is what I have to do after the first twrp factory reset fails:

    1. Properly and completely turn off your device.
    2. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power keys until the device powers on. You should see an image of an Android icon lying on its back.
    3. Press Volume Down twice until the screen says “Recovery mode.”
    4. Press Power to restart into “Recovery mode.” You should see an image of an Android with a Red triangle after a few minutes.
    5. Tap Volume Up key while hold and press Power button.
    6. Use the volume keys to scroll to “wipe data/factory reset” and press Power to comfirm.
    7. Use the volume keys to scroll to “Yes – erase all user data” and press Power to confirm.
    8. Your device will reboot itself after the data wipe completed.

Are you going to update "[Toolkit] Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit" to install Root and Recovery with version 4.3?

    Yes, by tomorrow.
