How different is this than the T-Mobile USA ROM.

Which rom, what version.

The new tethering rom is working fine, did a dirty flash on my wife's phones, no issues.
On my old note 3, sold to my friend, working fine also, and he's on MetroPCS.
We were tethering at work today. No issues, I was tethering on my wife's testing all the roms I made.

Did u dirty flash, did you install anything that might have broke the framework-res.apk file,

Wipe everything, and try tethering on a fresh clean install, before u install anything.

I did Odin the bootloader, and modem, so the phone is updated also.

I also use hotspot toggle widget from the playstore. On post 3...

just tried it on my wifes note, yes it does fc..... didn't notice since I use the hotspot widget....
this happens on the tetheringmod rom.... I will look into it, but just remember, u need to use an alternative widget or app for the tetheringmod to work anyways... the tethering mod, would not work with the regular tmobile widget...

I will look into this later after work, going to work now..

edit: the file is the tethering provision.apk that has to be disabled for the tethering mod to work, if u restore that file the tmobile tethering will enable, but u wont be able to tether unlimited,

like I said, we don't use the tmobile widget, I use hotspot toggle widget its free from the market, I have been using that this whole year without issues.
others use wifi router, which cost a few dollars...

I recommend leaving that file disabled and using a different app... so u can enjoy your phone more..

Thanks for the update. I was always able to use the regular t-mobile one and worked just fine.. I don't have a problem using the different toggle cause I tried that and it worked. .so I'm fixed on my end... if u can figure it out great if not no worries cause I'll use the toggle u told me about.. thanks
