I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to add something. I have had my air dock for about 5 months now. I began to think it was trash as it was barely holding my phone in place. I followed the AirDock FAQ page and wiped it off with a damp towel. Now it feels very sturdy. The thing I have noticed is when you have your phone attached/stuck and you pull it away, it should feel tacky. If it doesn't you probably should wipe it off. I'm sure everyone that already contributed to this thread has already made up their mind, but I thought I'd share in the event other members were curious.
