Random bit of info on this subject matter . I made my own lens protection shields from an unused screen shield from my S4 . I just cut them out to the size of the lens then applied . A very useful tip on installing these items . Use tweezers , You might think its ok enough to use the tips of your fingers but I got me some fat finger tips LOL . After messing up a few installs I used tweezers and my OCD gave it the green light afterwards LOL . Good luck

Just so everyone is aware, if your lens is "scratched" most likely it's just the oleophobic coating and not the actual lens. While it's not excusable, there is a solution. My lens was really bad and I was able to remove the rest of the coating using a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. It comes off surprisingly easy and I haven't noticed any negative effects from the lacking coating. After that, I applied the lens protectors included in the Nilkin tempered glass screen protector that I got from Amazon and I haven't had any issues since.

I've owned my M8 for just over 3 weeks.

First week I noticed one *tiny* scratch on my lens. So I ordered Slickwraps Lens protector.

Took a few days to arrive ( as in UK - but still very quick delivery).

So I've had it on my phone for just over a week now. With the same handling/treatment as before. I do work in a sometimes dusty environment. But my previous Samsungs and Nexus have coped admirably in these conditions. Very well indeed, as it goes.

So, after one week and-a-bit with Slickwraps on I have this:

M8 Lens with Slickwarp

It is scratched to ****. And obviously creates somewhat imperfect images.

So sorry Slickwraps: Your product does not perform.

I'm ordering a tempered glass protector right about now...

The slickwraps lens protector works just fine. I have had it on the phone for months and it still looks good. I carry my phone in my back pocket all day.

I work in an environment where there is dust and grit and I take photos regularly as reference. I also keep the phone in my (dusty) back pocket. After 6 days of use the Nilkin protector still looks brand new.The Slickwraps one didn't after that amount of time.
