I didn't get the $25 Google Play credit, either, but I'm not too upset. Paying only $199.99 for the tablet I figure I got my savings up front rather than in a gift card.

I got the second (good) unit for $200 as well, and I returned the first (defective) unit which I got for $280).
I may comsider one more if the price stays at $200 next week.
This is one of the very best tablet you can get for the price.
I am very satisfied with second unit regardlessly there's no Google Play credit (you can buy some with money having been discounted.

Root - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2661198

For CM or any custom ROM you need TWRP. Follow the root guide but in step 4 replace the file with the one below.
Download openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.1-mondrianwifiue.img.tar from https://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/mondrianwifiue/
*It must be a .tar

Once you do this, make a backup of your touchwiz setup, place it on your computer. Just in case. Then load up and flash CM plus gapps.

Also got the $199 deal.
Upgraded from a Tab4 and the difference is amazing, just wish it had the dark Tab S/S5 theme.

Just got this bad boy in eBay for $189 refurb. Not as good as brand new but will do. Waiting to root now
