I am stock, 32gb white US model updated with Kies. I have done many factory resets. I have tried it for 2 days without installing any apps or disabling any samsung bloat, with no change in the tablest behavior.

maybe u could try installing a different firmware?
that's what I'm planning to do now

So I say kk is good or better then jellybean

I am using US firmware. After few months using KK. I think battery is NOT that great any more. I have about 4 to 5.5 hours of screen time.

Bought my Note 10.1 2014 about two weeks ago. Right of the box upgraded to Kitkat and like everyone else battery life drained extremely fast. However, as soon as flashed the Hyperdrive KK rom things got better. Ran with that for about a week then flashed over to the Aroma Galaxy Tab S rom and battery life has been great during usage and stand by lasts days if I don't touch it at all.

I was a bit worried at first but I'm happy and very satisfied with my purchase now.

XDA roms are much better than stock roms on tablets in my opinion.

ok i need help with the battery, i own a P601 3G model, i updgraded to russia 4.4.2 , now the battery drains like ultra fast 2% per minute if not playing and 10%+ per minute if am opening a game,
started tracking the issue since Android OS is the top battery drainer with keep awake time of 17hours, i noticed that when i switch the WIFI off the battery drain is not there anymore, any ideas? ??????

to perform a thorough, have you tried bringing back battery stats to non system apps and checking through a program like Battery Stats Plus?

Furthermore, read the following:
