Do you mean like Roms because I would update to kk and install either twrp or cwm recovery and flash a ROM for ex like PAC Man ROM best ROM out there.

This isn't possible on the version that the kernel is patched is it where towelroot won't work?

Actually it is possible because you can update via rsd lite and root and unlock and then download PAC man ROM kk bl. And install through twrp or cwm

How do i update via rsd lite do i need to find a previous firmward and flash it via rsd lite? Sorry for the noob question ive just never had to go through this before ive previously owned samsung devices and htc so the processes were a bit more simple

So quick question what is your RAZR m on what firmware. And is it also unlocked.

Its on 4.4.2 and the build date is aug 6 so the kernel is patched. Which is why i was asking is it possible to downgrade it to where it can be rooted and unlock because on this version its not possible atm

Sorry sir since you have upgraded without unlocking the boot loader first you cant downgrade. There will be later pretty sure.

Check it towelroot or motoclypse apks can root and unlock the new build date.
