Ok. Now I'm a bit confused. I swear this is the version I just installed last night and was able to format data with to f2fs.

Where am I lost in this?

There is twrp with f2fs support, but its not maintained since 2.8.0.0 or 2.8.0.1, so maybe it was the one u flashed?

The version of TWRP I installed is as follows: openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.0-tf300t.blob

Has ability to format data to F2FS.

trouble making Recovery Backup
I cannot get TWRP 2800 or 2810 to do a back up to ext SD, tried 2 different 64 gig sandisk formatted with Gparted, Fat32 and 2nd petition EXT4. I am using CromBi KK 4.4.4. I know about the restriction 3rd parties not able to write to sd but I ran the fix for that problem and it works. The error I am getting from TWRP 2800---"Errno=5 TWRP backup unable to create folder". The folder is on my SD. and twrp does start saving some of the backup then errors out. I even switched to Philz latest version and his Recovery does it also.. Titaiium Backup works to ext SD but not my Recoveries won't write to Ext SD.
Searched all over,
Thanks for the great work. Hope their is a fix
If this helps anyone: Boot loader 10.6.1.31 I am using an ME301T

To my knowledge, these later versions of TWRP such as you are mentioning currently have an issue and aren't able to do a [Backup] to the extSD.

Last I heard, the issue is being looked into and hopefully will be resolved.

Hello, I've done this and verified that I have the v2.8.1.0 (however the date on the page is 2014-10-28 and not 12/11/2014 as you mentioned) but I do not see an option for formatting as F2FS. I used GEASS once as F2FS but that was some time ago. I'd like to use newer rom's with F2FS but I don't know how to force it to flash to it. Can someone please help?

Why don't you give @ne0zone75s a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2772093

It works for me on tf201, tf300t and tf700t an has f2fs capability (in wipe section).
