What about StumpRoot. Will that work on the Flex without downgrading?

Instructions in link says switch to art, you don't need to. Ran stump last night on my att d950 (with all current otas & dalvik) and it rooted fine.

Just in case there's any fellow L23 users out there looking to root, check out...

http://lgviet.com/forum/threads/root...i-lgl23.29775/

This so far, is the only method I've found for the L23, and it works perfectly. Takes less than a minute to root, and less than that to install TWRP.

Happy rooting!

I can't get any recovery to install. Would somebody link me to how to flash/load a recovery. And which would be best TWRP or CWM?

LG Flex 4.2.2 D950 AT&T rooted using TowelRoot.

I'm on 4.2.2 & the latest Freedom Recovery apk developed by Playfulgod doesn't work.

I can't find the older version that works with JB. Can someone link. Thanks.

SOLVED.
Thanks to mattwheat I got TWRP installed & have a 3GB backup.
