How do I go about flashing the stock images included in the second post of this thread? I haven't messed with my Venue 7 since like May and a lot has changed since then. Want to start from a stable base. I know I can use fastboot flash <whatever>, but that throws an error flashing recovery. Is there some sort of official tool I'm missing?

I found how to do it on previous replies with this commands:

adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system Venue_8_WiFi_JB4.3v1.25.system.img.gz
fastboot flash boot Venue_8_WiFi_JB4.3v1.25.boot.img
fastboot flash fastboot Venue_8_WiFi_JB4.3v1.25.fastboot.img
fastboot flash recovery Venue_8_WiFi_JB4.3v1.25.recovery.img
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache

but i was wondering, for what are these files:

partition.tbl
image.list
ifwi/ (folder)

Thanks. And also, how can i disable automatic ota updates? to avoid to update to 4.4

Originally I had planned a flash script for myKIT_BATCH which is what the image.list file was for it defined the image names a kind of manifest so that was a file added by me.

partition.tbl is what it says its the partition table used in the process of partitioning the emmc

Ifwi contain the actual firmware for the device basically its the bios / efi if you really had to compare it to something but its not really a bios or efi so really firmware / bootloader is the best term for it.

I have a Iconia B1-730HD and the MYROOTKIT cannot communicate with my device. Is there a way to have this working?

I haven't even gotten to the rooting part of your instructions. Just not sure what to do? Could you provide some steps for me?
