OK got mine. Like other ones I tried with this material, the pushing of the metal or whatever is into my ear is really uncomfortable. Obviously not an issue for others, but it is for me. I tried all the tips but none of them helped.

Also, in NYC freezing cold weather, it also gets cold and not really comfortable.

Back to my klipsch

So I confirm that silver volume buttons DO NOT work with Nexus 4.
I have tried with poweramp and with calling and even with extra applications like headset button controller, the volume buttons are not recognized.
I managed only to program middle button to increase/decrease volume according to the number of clicks.

All the buttons works great on the Nexus 6. It was so Bab without the volumes ones on the Nexus 4....
