I'm looking for an firmware that allows multiple USB devices on the unit.
Does Angelbbs firmware Android 4.2.1 support multiple USB devices?

And Is this firmware possible to flash through SD card only, and no need for remote control?
I did not get an remote control with my unit :(

Thanks, that's great. Trying to get DAB+ radio in my car, by using a DAB+ USB Dongle.

Is there a way to flash this image to the unit without remote control (7,8,9 command) ?
http://yadi.sk/d/yC1TawogCop2Q
or use SD-Card, prepared with PhoenixCard

Tried to update my ZX803 to Angelbbs 4.2.1. SD card update.

Get this error on flash:
sprite update error: checksum is error
CARD OK

Any suggestions? Have tried multiple cards, and prepared card with different computers XP and Windows 7
Same error on all attempts.

Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app

Trying to flash old image to get back my unit, I found that the only image I'm able to flash with SD Card prepared with PhoenixCard is image ZXNET803_V17_rapasae_v2.img
Do I have a special format on my units flash memory ??

Thank you Angelbbs. I will see if I can build the courage to do this... any safety measures I should take in handling these capacitors? like discharging them first?

Also do you know how to auto boot the radio(or any other app) on startup?

thank you

Ok I soldered the resistors and the sound is fixed. Thanks!

now I just need to find how to get the radio to start automatically when the unit starts. Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Also I was wondering if I could solder an internal digital TV tuner? Where can I get the parts?

Ok i solved the radio auto start with an app. Autostart and stay. Hope this helps others.

Also plugged in a bluetooth USB dongle in a usb hub along with the wifi dongle. The android OS recognises it and BT works for connecting a mouse and keyboard. Havent tried it with any another BT functions.

Hi angelbbs,

thank you for all your great work on zx803... I have tried the update below and my stereo still resets to initial settings every time even with your update fix for this problem from hyndai forum. Please advise. Thank you.

(android 4.2.1)
SD-CARD SanDisk 1G work fine!

ZX803 Android 4.0.2 boot logo issue

Gentlemen:
First of all many thanks for this post, it has helped me a lot during the battle I still have with this Chinese unit acquired in 2014.
I have tested all firmware´s mentioned in the post and all of them work but after two or three days my unit stops booting (stacked at the boot logo)
Only option is to flash the firmware again so I can survive for 2 more days.
Does any of you know how to get boot log or see the boot process (instead of the Android Logo) to identify what is causing the stack?.
Many thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi Angelbbs:
Thanks for quick response and instructions, on a short review looks like I´ll need to connect the device to a PC since its not able to boot..
I was wondering if there was such a kind of bootable instance (like the GPS SD Card) formatted on a way its able to pick the bootloader log and allow me to find any error.
But this is talking in excess, I will review your information first and see what I can do on my own.
Again many thanks for that info.

Hi Angelbbs:
I have surrended working with this unit, and have finally replaced with a new one with Android 4.4 (Kitkat) version that works superb.
Again thank you very much for your kind support and shared knowledge.

an lg tried sending this through my pc. neat trick

Heh, heh. That is an outrageous uptime! Maybe it is caused by the MCU reporting it in a different unit of time rather than seconds to Unix epoch like normal Linux devices.

Anyways, thanks a lot. I appreciate it and will create a wiki page for it. Apparently, the "Build Number" from your Settings app does not reflect the same information as "ro.build.display.id" like most Android devices. This build code is probably what angelbbs is looking for. Although I don't know what use it is if the nomenclature or the definition isn't readily available.

Btw, I was wondering if you can run this program? CPU/RAM/DEVICE identifier then run an evaluation and send the infos which emails a forensic report to Davy Bartoloni for identification. Maybe take a screenshot of the CPU Type page. I ask because saw the...
The CPU is an odd one with very little identification that is available on the web, "D77643F1, 1129KU704, JAPAN". From all the advertisements related to this unit, I assumed it was an Allwinner A10 CPU. However, those numbers do not match up with any known manufacturers ARM CPU part. It does match up on with a CPU found on various tablets, although there is nothing conclusive. The information that I can find about the CPU suggests that it could be NEC-Renesas CPU. However, these numbers do not match with anything they have listed.

Buyer Beware

Hello all, I’ve been battling with a ZX803 Android Radio for my Santa Fe the seller is not answering any mails or chats, they sent me the wrong ROM and the radio is bricked, please be careful with the seller tradesolution .hk their engineers are useless, Customer Service is terrible and Gary Choi (The contact) offers warranty that doesn´t respect later, answers with no respect and the hardware has 100 flaws. Finally gave up... returning to stock (boring)

Not sure if bricked but

Devices with Allwinner CPU's (used in ZX803) can't be bricked...
Well I’m not sure if the radio is bricked or not but so far:
The unit wont start, it goes into a blank screen (gray then green and then black)
Its not letting me install any ROM via SD, the ones found here and also the ones provided by the seller a couple of months ago
Tried to startup wit a SD created in phoenix card as startup but it gets sucked on the boot logo (code 1 on the top)
I cannot access via ADB, my radio has 3 USB but none work (tried PC and Mac and none recognize the android radio)
Wont go into recovery

You have over ten posts now, so you should be able to post URLs. Besides, you could have encapsulated URLs with an underscore (_) in order to post links. For example, and it will bypass the forum's parser that checks and replaces it with a clickable link or prevents you from posting if you have < 10 posts.

On a sidenote is there anyone here that can do me a favor and please install . Click on the "System" tab, click on the application (overflow) menu and export results to file. Go through it, its a simple html file in /mnt/sdcard directory and censor any information that want to hide like accounts names and SSID then upload it as an attachment. I'd like to open a dedicated Wiki page for this unit and that way you can have a place for FAQs and such.

I have suspected that those systems are independent.
That would explain a lot. Tablets usually don't have handsfree bluetooth kit integrated :)

Do you have that CFG file by the hand to upload it? I'm not by my car right now.

My unit has RDS, it works OK (on the radio app image I've upoaded you can see >RGP<, that's the station name). I think I have enabled it ih some system configuration tool when I first started the device, along with the canbus setup. That is the exact tool/menu I can't seem to find anymore :(

I cant post links, send me a pm otherwise, here is content of file p901.cfg

Hello everyone, I purchased this unit (VW submodel) few days ago. Picture attached.
    it works great.
    8"
    pure android
    1ghz cpu,
    1gigs of ram,
    4gigs of flash + microSD,
    capacitive.

Does anybody have the unit with same chipset so we can exchange some info? For example, I can't find an entrance to hidden menu that was presented to me at first boot,
I don't know how to restart the unit, and I have a slight issue with car battery draining.

To be straight on topic, I have modified stock radio application to be more... ... presentable :) It was terrible, colors were out of this world :)
This unit came rooted. So I could easily replace the stock radio app.
If somebody needs it just let me know.
    Now it looks like this:

    Thanks!

You have over ten posts now, so you should be able to post URLs. Besides, you could have encapsulated URLs with an underscore (_) in order to post links. For example, _http://www.google.com_ and it will bypass the forum's parser that checks and replaces it with a clickable link or prevents you from posting if you have < 10 posts.

On a sidenote is there anyone here that can do me a favor and please install Android System Info.

    I will look into it.

Thanks for the info about links!

here is the radio APK: http://dfiles.eu/files/t7mbitco9

Does any of you know how to get boot log or see the boot process (instead of the Android Logo) to identify what is causing the stack?.
    try it... http://developer.android.com/tools/help/logcat.html
