Have you tried rebooting the phone? Sometimes I get a charging LED too, but it's pretty rare. In that case I just unplug and replug the charger or reboot the phone.

This is what my LED settings look like:

Doesn't look the same in stock Android, but never mind. I just checked my settings and I have LED notifications checked, so that obviously doesn't make a difference.

Sorry, can't help you then.

Go to Light Flow settings, then Sleep settings, then scroll to Charge settings and untick Enable charge settings. Then you will get notifications when charging.

The charge settings is not enabled as default and I assume he has not done it himself.

Yeah, it's already unchecked. I'm running Viper ROM, so maybe that's why I have so many items I can check or uncheck in the LED settings?

Light Flow seems to have a bit of a hard time clearing the notifications when I enter the app (eg: messaging app). Anyone knows how to fix this?
