It looks like we get no update until Lollipop. I saw Sources for Z2 Tablet 23.0.1.A.4.30 but theres nothing released or certified yet.

Lollipop isnt coming any time soon so i'd forget about it
As for updatss it seems there has been a few planned to fix the current update
So you're saying before we receive Android Lollipop 5.0, we're going to be getting more updates for the Z2? Do you know how many?

We are going to get lollipop and it wont be our last android version
I dont know how many updates but we have a year and a half left of update support

Lollipop seems mixxed to me
Sonys aosp is stable and nice but it lacks working features
Anyways it should release with a decent version anyways most likely 5.0.3

Sony did confirm lollipop for the z devices, but they only confirmed z3 update for beginning of February. I would imagine the z2 would be sometime in March. Not to be a downer, just being realistic. Don't expect lollipop for our devices at the same time as the z3. Also, considering the 4.4.4 update had very few exploits for root (create a pre-rooted ftf or unlock bootloader), I doubt it will be easy to root lollipop. The grass isn't always greener guys.
They confirmed LP for all Z flagships
However they didnt confirm dates
Rooting on LB wont be easy at all however there is a failsafe way which includes downgrading
