New DU Lollipop @

Hello guys,

First Happy New Year to all of you, i wish you all the best for the next year!

I've built a first DU unofficial, really alpha from alpha as DU Lollipop is still in dev.
DU_find5_5.0.2_20141231-1652.v9.0-UNOFFICIAL.zip

At the moment it is based on pure AOSP - & Omni Find5 device tree so completely different from Liquid.

My goal is to have this DU build official in the next months with a proper thread and support.

For now i would request some courageous guys to just try to flash this build...just to check if it's booting. As you know, i'm still without my device, really frustrating...

If it's booting that would be a great news.. the rest will come really later :)

Needed:
last TWRP recovery
Last Supersu
Last L Gapps

Full wipe
Flash, rom, gapps, supersu
Reboob

Note:

Fix for data connectivity is included if booting:)

Link removed: not booting :(.. many thanks @Jet70355 for risking your device!!

Many thanks guys & Seeya next year!!:good:

My shift key stays black no matter which appearance setting I choose (i like the default material light). I also like the menu theme to be white, is there a setting for that ? Very nice rom btw for such an alpha build:good:, only bug I can find is hangouts crashing on starting the app.

ok cool, obviously not a big issue :). hangouts will probably be due to gapps then (using gapps minimal x plus). is there a way to get white themed menu on liquidsmooth?

edit: hangouts was crashing due to "minimal x plus gapps", works fine with "Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.0.x.build.0.x-439" and liquidsmooth build from 4jan (+ the shift key is back to normal ;) ) thanks again for the awesome work!

New Lollipop LiquidSmooth Find5

Hello guys,

A new build (LS-LP-v4.0-2015-01-07-liquid_find5) is available here:
Download:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95887005526787966 (updated edition to solve sd card issues)
Changelog:
Added last three days commit from LS and CM
Some sensor commits let see if it improves our sensor issues
Try to add liquid changelog in settings/about device (need to be tested)
Try to solve the app2sd issue by removing USB storage from device overlay (need to be tested). If still does not work, i may have another idea:)

Happy flashing and thanks for your feedback. I see on the http://stats.liquidsmooth.net webpage that we are currently 383 mates with Find5 liquidsmooth installed, not bad;)

Currently testing some autorotation patches on my OnePlus, maybe i could apply it to Find5.

Cheers
PS: fullwipe may be needed.

Darioc, did your sdcard mount in let's say Kitkat or is this the first rom you flashed after repartitioning? As far as I know a couple of people here have repartitioned their device but haven't run into any trouble.
If the last one is the case you might have made a slight mistake at the step where you have to reformat it as fat32.
Could you use adb and show the output of:
Code:
adb shell
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0 print

That will show us your partition table and I'll have a look if something went wrong.

Gave it a shot, happy to report that the issues with my SIM card have been resolved. :D

Did find 2 small bugs so far though: 1. Expanded hangout notification has black text and thus is very hard to read. 2. Extended quick settings show null-null and a default avatar both before and after signing into Google. Both are visible in the attached screenshots.

Other than that it seems stable so far. I have repartitioned my device as well and my SD card mounts just fine.

Hey mate,

Regarding the null profile, i've seen this issue on different devices but really strange as it's random and don't affect all users. Which gapps are you using? A mate on the Q&A thread as the same issue.
Regarding the black theme, it will be polished in the future, unfortunately i cannot change the way Hangout is displaying alerts.
What about your APN?

Cheers and nice weekend!

The APN is what I meant with the SIM-card issue, that seems to be resolved.

I'm using Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.0.x.build.0.x-439.zip for Gapps because it was mentioned a few pages ago. Don't know if there has been an update for them since, I just downloaded this one. Maybe the issue lays in the fact that I booted up Android L first, then downloaded and flashed the Gapps (so first boot was without Gapps). Issue was already present before flashing Gapps.

How often will the Rom be updated?

When i found Time, Real Life come first

    How do I flash it?

If coming from previous Asylum OMNI or official OMNI and you want to do a dirty install:

    1. boot into recovery
    2. flash the Rom
    3. reboob

If coming from previous Asylum OMNI and you'd like a clean flash:

    1. boot into recovery
    2. do a full wife
    3. flash the Rom
    4. reboob

If coming from any other ROM:

    1. Copy Gapps and Asylum OMNI Zips to your internal SDCard
    2. Boot into Recovery
    3. Do a full wife (format date, sysyem, preload & cache is the best)
    3. Flash Asylum OMNI zip from internal SDCard
    4. Flash Gapps zip from internal SDCard
    7. Reboob
    8. Don't restore system stuff or apps + data using Titanium, it might cause issues

When you have Root Problems flash the SuperSU.zip

    New Asylum Omni Build

    Hello Guys,

Some points regarding Find5 dev in this thread, it has been a while for different reasons, including a pc crash that force me to restart my build environment from scratch :(

Asylum Omni has been delayed for a month and new build is now available, see below. Omni build will remain slim, striped and with only some cherry picks for light roms lovers.

Carbon builds have stopped. Why? I decided to port another rom to our device, much more complete and with support of a great dev team, Dirty Unicorn.

I took me lot of time to manage to have it ported to our device, but last test build (which i posted the link here earlier this weekend) is really a good starting point, if you like all included features rom, it's for you! It has everything you may want (halo, themes, headers, tweaks...)
Please this remains unofficial builds for the moment, so no support will be given on official DU site for this, please pm me when issues.

    Kernels:
Omni is based on "omni" kernel and is compatible with great Bidji kernel
DU Find5 is based on CM kernel and is compatible with Infinitus kernel you may find on Oppo forums.

    New Omni Build available:

    Asylum_Omni_4.4.4_20140811_find5 is available
