That's what I've been using, ArkSwitch 1.1.1, for about a week or so with a couple of your ROM versions, '40 and '41. I don't use the camera for hours and hours... more like a couple of minutes per day, sometimes a bit more. It's just frustrating that when I want it to work, it often doesn't.
As for leaving many programs running, no. Like I said, a task manager is essential for me. In general use, I keep just one program running, and even then only about half the time. That's nPOPuk, a tiny plaintext email application which I help test in the dev group. But that uses less than 2MB of memory according to ArkSwitch. of course Activesync keeps turning itself on a lot, so I turn that off a lot, basically whenever I see it in ArkSwitch. I don't synch with my PC nor with a server, so I don't know what that's about. I use Softick CardExport to run the device as an external storage device connected to my PC once in a while for faster file transfers. So perhaps CardExport is causing a problem?
I also use SPB Mobile Shell lately, as Titanium is often glitchy in my experience, unresponsive by comparison. I will try shutting both these things off for a while and whether that corrects the power-off in 10 seconds issue (which is now very persistent) and the camera inconsistency.
Otherwise, the only other thing I could think of which I run in the background is Resco Audio Recorder, for recording calls. But a lot of people run that, or Vito's recorder, and I've not heard complaints about backlight/suspend issues nor camera issues relating to that kind of app.
i like your roms ... but the isea is to have & test the latest & most recent builds ...not to stay with old stuff from month ago
SOD is something releated to some third party applications, too much memory leaks, or the MS build files themselfs...we have to test & fix...to gt to the best & latest rom at the end
i appreciate your work but please keep your comments about your rom on your thread...if you have a comment regarding my work, you are welcome to post it here
thanks again
I rather think the point of these forums is to share information -- I shared info with you on other threads -- and I certainly don't care if folks use my ROMS or not.
Word of caution on that subject. This thread isn't yet ridiculously long, it's something one can sit down and read in an evening if you like. Compare that to dsixda's thread for his ROMs made for the Elf/Elfin HTC Touch models. The thread is so long, it's like diving into War & Peace trying to wade through it... only the writing isn't generally very interesting. There are SO many sidetracks and repetitions that it's impossible for a new visitor to make much sense of it all, and even for those like myself who, on encountering it (when I bought my Elfin), read it from start to finish and remain subscribed to it, remembering everything useful from it is just not likely.
I would suggest a middle road. Tolerance for input not directly relating to the ROM (please?), but with a general sense that the main purpose here is to explore what ahmedfikry is releasing, with an eye to making it better with him by our input. Most of our reported errors will of course be user error, software conflicts, or device faults, as that's the case in any software testing environment. But if we try to be somewhat disciplined, the thread won't run out of control and new visitors will have less trouble interpreting the many messages.

Lets not be sensitive about this, OK.

i was just suggesting that we keep it here on issues related to my rom problems ... thats all
all info, input, & sharing is appreciated
i dont care who use my rom or yrs ..i care that the users who use my rom would be happy

For what it's worth, I just disabled CardExport for the last hour or so and am finding that the settings for suspend are still messed up. Oddly, it's not dimming so far. Just shutting off in about 15 seconds... which makes no sense in terms of the menu options in settings. There is no 15 second option there, only 10 and 30 etc. So I just tried setting the power-off timeout to 1 minute in another interface, the Power tab on PocketTweak. Still shuts off in 15 seconds now.
The camera's working fine so far since shutting off CardExport... so maybe that's the culprit. If it works fine for a couple of days then I'll be satisfied to call it a sure thing, and just use CardExport manually rather than having it run in startup.
So it seems at least part of my problems are in fact a software conflict, at least tentatively, awaiting the test of time for confirmation. Sorry if I wasted any of your time with this.

i think the camera issue is a conflict for sure... i spent alot of time on camera/video playback combitability thing... it was a big part of the final touchs in my rom ... many other roms won't play video...and i am actually still trying to get info that can make the camera work & the videos to play if I use 6.5 native files (many cheifs say they have native drivers but they dont use the full thing & use many older files to mix)
as for the backlight issue, do you (or did you) install or use S2U (slide to unlock)....it changes registry settings of backlight...
I personally dont have any backlight issues & it works exactly at the time it supposed to according to my settings
I also removed many of the cabs that were originally in it & placed a separate link for each of them
you can install alone or you can drop them into XDA_UC folder in your memory card if you like to make the ones you like a part of your User Customization
i also placed a link to a word documents describing the contents of XDA_UC and what each cab does
as for the backlight issue, do you (or did you) install or use S2U (slide to unlock)....it changes registry settings of backlight...
I tried the default dialer, but really have trouble with the tiny on-screen buttons for answering and ignoring, so installed the 'TPC mega_dialer_new_builds.cab' which contains a slide to answer/ignore. Is that what you mean? Since in my experience so far the Kaiser doesn't have a problem staying powered off in my pocket (unlike a lot of devices, which turn on when any button is pressed, sometimes but not always, regardless of my preference in the button lock applet) I don't find a need for a slide to unlock feature. Besides, that messes up the smooth video capture trick. Can't cycle power correctly to have that trick work if there's an unlock screen on wakeup, just doesn't work. So short answer; no, I didn't install S2U2, but yes, I did install a different phone canvas. Could that be the problem? I'd hate to lose it, as the dialer buttons are bigger too, and I just cannot get used to using hardware buttons to answer calls.
And no, I did not manually change any registry settings for backlight timeout before tonight. Tonight I did try to use the Power tab in PocketTweak to confirm the 1minute preference, and that's a remote registry tweak app... but the problem existed before that and hasn't changed since.
Can you include htc menu enhancement in your roms?
I have been using 23529 rom of yours and I must say its the best rom ever.
Also if you have a solution for the back button in the menu?
