Hi guys,

it's really nice you added how to root ColorOS 1.2.3i but honestly the instructions are written as lousily as it could be. Makes absolutely no sense to newbie OPPO user like me(have been last few years on different versions of Sammy's Galaxy S models).

Can you please elaborate little bit more on fastboot process and flashing via command line? Do I need to run any specific program in order my laptop communicate with my 7a in fastboot mode? More info would be appreciated as I have no time nor intentions to read every single OPPO thread looking for the answers.

Many thanks in advance, brgds

erm, can i say that there is no difference to root find 7a with oppo official stock recovery or other custom recovery like TWRP, even when I want to flash Color OS rom or other custom rom, or flash zip files??

Hi, I'm on color os 1.2.6

Unable to root as mentioned here in this thread.

I'm able to go into oppo stock recovery though.

Anything else I could do. Using a x9076 in stock and want CM badly

Sent from my X9076

It seems it doesnt work for ColorOS 1.2.7i anymore. Installation failed or so, without details.

Is there another way? Is Root Genius a safe software or do i install some shady things on my pc and smartphone by using it?
