Thats the last and stable build i think. Devs of carbon stopped the project since lolipop came out and he doesnt have this device anymore.

How does the tap to wake works on lollipop?
I want to ask if it would be possible to lock the screen but it should only set the brightness to 0 so it looks like the screen is off.
Then it should be in a mode where no touches are recognized exept doubble tap in the center of screen.
After doubble tap the brightness should be set to normal and the lockscreen should be shown.
Is that possible?
Sry for my bad english I hope you guys understand what I wanted to say

Usually when you lock the phone, it goes into a "deepsleep" power saving mode, where it has very, very low power consumption and wakes periodically to check for SMS, sync content, etc. Some chipsets support a wake on a specific event - button press, double tap or radio packet reception. If the HW does not support dt2w, trying to emulate it in SW will cause the device not entering this deepsleep mode and as consequence significantly lower battery life.

Yes it's possible. Someone need to patch and recompile at least the kernel used for Carbon 4.4.4. You don't need to have the screen on. You need access to the touchscreen only (this is 2 different components).

Commit needed for the kernel :
https://github.com/billchen1977/kern...25562b12049596
https://github.com/billchen1977/kern...906f9f3d6406e9

And for the device :
https://github.com/billchen1977/devi...96bb2bc911d7f7

Don't forget that this is the same kernel base but you should need to adapt a little bit commit to match carbon 4.4.4 implementation. The device part of the commit can be done manually if nobody is able to recompile an entire ROM.
