Volume down + Home + Power? And then Vol UP. I have T111 and it's working.

I finally use adb reboot recovery ...
but the firmware is very unstable, and has too much lagging....

I may revert it back into original firmware...

Not sure what i'm doing wrong...

Today...i needed to use my sisters tablet..and I noticed it was acting veeeery slowly....in fact it blocked....so i decided to root it so I can remove all the bloatware and useless apps..
I downloaded Odin 3.09, TWRP 2.7.0.1, and proceeded to flash....all seemed to work fine, tablet rebooted and then I powered it off and pressed Vol Up, Power, Home to enter recovery..
There I was welcomed by a "No command" message, and after i pressed and hold the power button, i stumbled upon the stock recovery...i tried it again, and again, for a total of 5 times, but it still refuses to install TWRP(or at least use it).
In download mode the binary appears as "custom" which suggests me that something was actually modified....

What can i do in this case?

Hi, sorry for a noob question: how to extract the T110.TWRP.2.7.0.1.tar.md5 to get the recovery.tar.md5?

I opened the file using winrar and only found one file: recovery.img

Thanks..

Try these steps

Hi, sorry for a noob question: how to extract the T110.TWRP.2.7.0.1.tar.md5 to get the recovery.tar.md5?

Thanks..

For Samsung Tab 3 Lite T110 , you'll need to follow these steps (it should be similar for T111) - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2674649

To summarise the main steps you'll need to do.
Step 1 - Download and Use Odin on your computer. The aim here is to flash your device so you'll need to Restart your device in "Download Mode" by holding the "HOME" button, "Volume Down" and "Power" all at the same time (for about 5 seconds).

Step 2 - Have a ROM already downloaded and on your microSD card for your device. When you turn on your device (if you have flashed it correctly in the earlier step), you should see options to install from the microSD card and you'll be able to use the device to read and install the "T110.TWRP.2.7.0.1.tar.md5" file you are referring to.

Hope this helps!

@dr.ketan

I flashed the T110 .zip TWRP on my SM-T111 (different than the T110, I guess) and the screen is filled with vertical lines. The screen works - recovery does function, apparently... but the lines...

Is this normal?! Can I use the recovery to flash ROMs and such?!

Your recovery is not updated and still stock.
Open odin and uncheck Auto reboot. Flash recovery again and when flash Complete, manually reboot device to recovery and you will have custom recovery
