Thumbs up Big Thanks!
Big thanks for this! I've been trying to figure out how to unroot my 4.3 GS3 for a while now so I can sell it (just got a Note 4). I'll give this a shot tonight. Here's hoping!

Worked great for me. Now that I am back to stock 4.3, I would like to root my phone the "right way". Any suggestions on a good root process for a phone that is currently att i747 4.3? Thanks

Depends, how did you root b4? What went wrong, and after achieving root do you plan on staying stock rooted, or moving on to cust. roms? There are a few ways to go most are fairly easy, others a little more complex.

Make sure (Auto Reboot) and (F. Reset Time) are checked. Uncheck anything else that might be checked.
Check and load the (I747UCUEMJB_2024954_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5) file in the PDA slot.
Start Flash and wait till it the phone reboots.

*DO NOT FLASH THE ODIN.tar IF YOU ARE NOT ON UCUEMJB FIRMWARE. IT WILL CAUSE A SOFT BRICK AND IS VERY DIFFICULT TO RECOVER FROM. THIS ODIN.tar CAN ONLY BE FLASHED TO RESTORE MJB. DO NOT USE TO DOWNGRADE OR UPDATE*
Flash this in custom recovery first if you are on a previous firmware version. Previous versions are, UCALEM, UCALG1, UCDLK3, UCDMG2, UCUEMJ2
UCUEMJB bootloaders and modem.

I747UCUEMJB 4.3 Odin flashable tar. Extract (I747UCUEMJB_2024954_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5) from zip prior to flashing with Odin.

This worked perfectly. I went from 4.4.4 OctOS rom to stock with no trouble at all. Thanks!

Definitely do not use this if you are on the NE4 firmware.

If you are wanting a stock rom check one of these threads by enewman17:

[ROM] I747UCUFNE4_AT&T 4.4.2 Stock ROM & System Dump
How to update SGH-I747 to UCUFNE4_4.4.2
If you use the second link you can start at step 3. There is even an option to revert to stock recovery. You can unroot after completing the flash, if you wish.
