Possible fix for issue nr. 2:
  • Enter BOOT-LOADER (from power off, power on while pressing volume up + home) and do a Cache Wipe

Successfully rooted my Galaxy Note 3 (International version), but none of the tips is helping with the System Status: Custom.

Any tip on what to do?

Device Info:

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0 (really need to keep it this way. Brand new device)
Baseband: N9005XXUENC2
Baseversion (kernel?): 3.4.0-1168347
Compilenr: KOT49H.N9005XXUEND5

I really feel that I should know more, but I've been out of the Android scene since WP7 was ported to the HTC HD2 so it's been a while xD

Doesn't that just fake it or will updates still be working? I know updating removes the root, which is no issue since I'm using this method to root it.

Yes you can still use root without updating binary. But its much better if you update it it only takes a couple of seconds.

If you want to check if root is succesful yoi can use root checker from google play store

Which is the latest firmware version, that can be rooted with towelroot? I am going back to Kitkat because of the bluetooth problems in Lolipop.
