I have been using CM10.1-10.2 for a long time and leaving the tablet on sleep mode never seems to drain battery on my tablet.

After clean flashing CM11 however, leaving the tablet on sleep mode drains more battery than if it were on, which is seriously strange. The battery stats display "Tablet Idle" as the heaviest battery user just after I turn it on from overnight (screen shot shows differently since it was a bit later that I took the screenshot).

By clean flash I mean I formatted data, factory reset and then flashed on CM11. Also did a bootloader and recovery update before that to the latest since it was overdue for some updates.

Current packages I have flashed with CM11 are:
- Dhollmen-P51xx-Kernel_20140112.zip
- Paranoid Gapps

Did you format system and data as well? Is your recovery up to date?

I wiped as much as my TWRP recovery allowed me to. Basically I wanted a complete reinstall.

It's at version 2.6.3.5 which is the latest the P5110 has.

I also used the Philz Touch version before when flashing CM11, still the battery drain.

Did you receive the official Jelly Bean update (kies, ota)? Or did you go to 10.1/2 then cm11 from the official Ice Cream Sandwich?

Try without using a custom kernel and see if the problem still exist.

Turn off Wifi to be on all the time if you donīt need it, youīll find an option in advanced wifi-settings to be always on only if itīs connected (PC or Charger).
Also disable network notification.
This will safe a lot of batterie.

Hi,

it's an old topic but I'm fighting with the described issues sincd CM11. Now on CM12 with Andi's unoffical build. The battery app shows me a battery drain (100 to 0 in less than 10 hours) while screen is turned off. Wifi setting is "off during sleep". I can't see the cause for this drain. I'm using no custom kernel. The issue only occurs once or twice in 7 days of use. And it's not repdroduceable.

I turned of WiFi completly for a while, just to narrow down the issue. With WiFi off completly I didn't have the problem anymore.

Does someone has an idea what it could be. Seems CM11/12 related. How can I narrow down the problem. A wake-lock app didn't help me much.

Cheers.
