also had issue that screen blank. I can here sounds like to connect to charger battery low.

Look like video driivers are not working. I tried cm-12-20141130-UNOFFICIAL-otterx.zip and that boots up fully. I would love to use your rom, but its not working.

Can you get a logcat of the issue by any chance? It might be the boot animation again.

Not sure if it will stop doing a logcat in adb

EDIT.. I ended adb looked like it was just constanting running logcat without ending anyway debug.txt is the one I ended.
this was with clean install of aicp_otterx_lp-8.0-NIGHTLY-20150215.zip NO gapps

Today's nightly (2/18/15) should work without deleting the boot animation.

UPDATE: It works must have been a issue on my side.

Just tried it with clean install, looks to be stuck at boot animation.
Will not boot to OS, I guess wait for others if they have same problem.

I also tried removing bootanimation.zip made no difference.

Can someone upload the aicp_otterx_lp-8.0-RELEASE-20150209 and/or the latest nightly to a cloud service if they have already downloaded them? The download says it is going to take 37 days, and that is crazy, as I do not have that much time to wait on this.

Is there some special trick to getting aicp_otterx_lp-8.0-RELEASE-20150209 to boot?

Wiped, wiped and re-wiped everything to ensure I'm not flashing dirty.

Have let it sit at boot for 10 -15 minutes and nothing. Not sure I can go back to the previous version...will have to find it on my pc since I 'cleaned' all the old roms off (like an id10t) before getting this one to load.

FWIW, I could not get it to boot, either. I am running the CM12.1 that joshuabg so kindly compiled.

Here's a build of 9.0. The source is from around 2015.06.15 (the build info in settings will say otherwise). I think it's decent. There's not enough free RAM, but it seems to run okay.

Things I changed:
* The minimum brightness is now 1 instead of the default 10.
* I wrote a Volume quick settings tile. It defaults to the music stream. I hope that's okay with everyone. Lollipop has switched to vector graphics for the icons in settings. I didn't feel like creating one, so I borrowed the wifi file. I chose the one with the not (!) on it so you know it's not wifi.

Other than that, it's stock AICP.

I'm using this latest build to post this message. I did not install Gapps and I slimmed down the total memory usage of the system apps considerably. It seems to average about 50-60 MB of free RAM. I do like the imp!ementation of the easy volume control tile :)

After those measures, the performance is pretty good, snappy almost. I'm going to try to tweak it some more if possible.

Thanks for your hard work, it's always exciting to see new ROM releases for this device

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

    How to flash:

    • Don't do it if you don't know it
    • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

    KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Zips gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

Alright. It's here. OtterX KitKat with long battery life.

The details: After much effort trying to fix the KK kernel, on a whim I thought I'd see if the LP kernel would work. It does. I used the kernel/amazon/otter-common/sound/soc/omap source folder from the KK kernel. That made sound work. So, in the end, it was a rather simple solution.

Here's the kernel source archive and the compiled AICP 7.0. The ROM is compiled with Sabermod. ART works (the included Launcher3 doesn't work with ART, so install a different launcher before switching).
