adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf of=/sdcard/laf.img.

Now run the following code to zero out laf:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf

adb reboot ""

I downloaded the files but I don't know how to bring up the adb thing command prompt. And How do i back up LAF?

Have you installed the LG Device Drivers (can be found on LG webpage), as stated in the thread? And downloaded and extracted the linked files? If no, do so. If you have installed LG Device Driver and extracted the adb files, connect your phone to your PC, go to the extracted folder, hold shift, right-click on adb.exe and enter the stated commands. The commands will automatically back up your laf to your SD card (the laf is a mandatory part of your phone system, so a back up is highly recommended, so you are able to flash it back in case anything went wrong). After you have entered the command "adb reboot" your phone should reboot. Now start the fastboot.exe as administrator (right click -> run as admin) and continue with the guide. If you have further questions, you might ask @shinobisoft, he might be able to help you even more.

But as I am not 100% sure about all those stuff (as I have a D405 and did all this some month ago), please do some further investigation, otherwise you would end up with a bricked device.

Thumbs up
You're my hero now. Been trying for so long to get this to work. It's been such a journey with the L90-D415.

Hi,

How can I root the T-Mobile LG D415? I just received a new phone straight from T-mobile because the old one broke.

Is there anyway to change the short hold home button gesture to open the recent apps switcher to double click home button instead? Thanks. On the stock ROM. CM is too buggy for me, no video.

You can use Nova Launcher, for example (or any other alternative launcher, I guess). In the launcher's settings you can define the behaviour for double click on home button to open recent apps panel.
