I did everything according to this guide and I have installed custom recovery after unlocking bootloader and then rooted the device. If my understanding of s-off is correct, I do not have it, and yet I am able to flash this and other roms without hassle.
Sorry to derail the thread a bit but as long as you do the first 3 steps of Vormer's guide you can flash this rom.

so i can flash this with s-on but i will lose some features of this rom? what is the benefits of changing mid and cid? sorry im new to this and am not clued up to the terms lol

No you wont loose any features, as long as you have a custom recovery installed, everything is fine

Should. At least cm merged it think. And as we are always up to date with them it should be there. If its not in latest build maybe tomorrow's build will include it
