Has anyone else used this successfully to restore their Blu Advance 4.0?

How could I make my own backup of my phone when it arrives in a couple days? What software would I use?

Also, what is the best tool for rooting this device?

Thanks!

Ok, however, nobody else has posted after the full rom link I was asking about. Has anyone tried it out successfully?

Hey so I tried downloading these tools in order to generate my own scatter file then dump the rom it ships with.

Avast flagged it as a malware threat, which I figured might just be due to the hoster. So I had my linux downloader box download it then pulled it over to my Windows 8.1 computer. Just to be safe I ran a malware scan on the MtkDroidTools_v253.rar and it came up as a threat, "PUP: ELF:Lotoor-AH [PUP]"

Is it possible this file has been compromised? Does anyone have the non-malware version of the file I can use to create my own scatter file?

Thanks!

it really depends on your definition of malware because this tools does include a temporary root function, however i've used it and my pc and phone are both fine
