[GUIDE] Return your European M8 to 100% Stock - S-OFF REQUIRED

Well lord knows what's going on here...

I started by flashing the recovery to the one linked here. It won't boot into recovery at all it just sits at "entering recovery..."

I was using a venom custom rom and TWRP 2.8.5.0 touch recovery.

I can boot into the phone, use fastboot and adb - but can't go any further in restoring the handset back to factory... All help appreciated.

If your phone is s-off you can easily unlock it without htc dev, but you dont even need it there should be a way to flash files with a locked and s-offed bootloader.
Also rooting the phone is meant to flash the root zip in custom recovery [emoji14] so it mostly gets confused
But thats not the topic..like i said there are ways for flashing custom recoveries without unlocking...you should use either the search button or google or read through a couple of threads in general forum from m8

Excellent guide BUT.........
Hi Guys, excellent guide, i was failing and took my ages to work out why
I was using Hasoon2000s AIO Toolkit, and then putting ruu.zip in the toolkit folder not the data folder, couldnt find anywhere advising me to do this i just sorted it out myself, would have been useful to note that

Or just not use a toolkit as they're not required

The toolkit caused this issue so I won't make a note of it as it won't affect users doing everything manually
