Question Enquirying
Hello all
Im currently a Z2 kitkat 4.4.4 build 23.0.1.A.0.167

Simple thing i want to know, (i believe this only works on 4.4.2), is there a method to do this with a locked boot loader with out me having to delete (lose all my settings) on my device? or do i need to backup everything and then do all the steps needed ?

Sorry it been a very long time since i rooted anything and i just want to be double sure, as well i was hoping to be on the simpler part of things and not need to worry about data but rather just install everything that needed :P

I purely need root access (along with superSU of coarse) but i dont want to go through the process of having to recover all my apps and settings, i do believe it backed up by google though (app data), so not sure if this would speed me along.

I'm on 23.0.A.2.93 with usb debug on and mock locations allowed.

Under Debian Jessie I get to:

Running exploit
Make sure you have enabled "Allow mock locations"
in Developer Settings!
Please wait for the device to reboot
Press any key to continue
Starting: Intent { cmp=org.keenteam/.ServiceExploitActivity }
Then the process stops. Any suggestions?

Seems I'm rooted after all...the script just didn't finish.

v 12.4 worked like a charm on my Xperia Z Ultra C6802 (4.4.4).

Did TA backup. Installed SU chainfire and updated binary in normal mode. Got write to external SD card ability on my Total Commander without any SDFix app. Thanks.
