If you're S-OFF, fastboot boot TWRP and run the commands from adb shell (no need to su as recovery shell is always run as root).
and after that it´s possible to flash the stock recovery with s-on?

You can't flash anything (besides HTC-signed zips) if you're S-ON and locked. This process doesn't change your device to S-ON. I assumed you already had stock recovery installed. You can do that first if you'd prefer to have stock recovery.and after that it´s possible to flash the stock recovery with s-on?
That's really off-topic for this thread. I'm sure if you search the forum for your variant you'll find what you're looking for. Here's a hint - stock recovery can be found in the stock firmware from an OTA .yeah, i know. My phone is now "locked", s-off, stock software but still running twrp. how to get stock recovery?

You just locked your bootloader - of course it failed, lol. If you still have TWRP installed, unlock it again using the procedure from the OP, fastboot flash stock recovery, and then you can lock again by fastboot booting TWRP and running the lock command again.i knon where to find it.. please tell me im in a real panic right now flashing it via fastboot tells me Faild.

"lock again by fastboot booting TWRP" what do you mean? If i´m running stock recovery without root how can i run the command?
Your device is unlocked and S-OFF. Root has nothing to do with being able to run a fastboot command."lock again by fastboot booting TWRP" what do you mean? If i´m running stock recovery without root how can i run the command?
fastboot boot twrp.img

That should boot up TWRP, and from there you can adb shell and run the lock command.Code:fastboot boot twrp.img
You don't boot it through adb. You boot it through fastboot. They aren't the same thing. But I'm glad you were able to figure it out.omg i didnt know booting TWRP is possible through adb on PC thank you, i achieved it!
Not with an unresponsive phone. I'd say your only option is jtag. Not sure why you thought this would work on your device.hey there m8 : )

Please excuse the ignorance. How can you get s-off without rooting first?
do some searching, it has been discussed many times. the main value is getting back to a locked status. Using fastboot oem lock gets you relockedCan someone please explain this? You need S-Off to follow this thread's method to lock your bootloader without htcdev. You need root to achieve S-Off. But how can you root without unlocking your bootloader with htcdev as this method implies that htcdev won't be used?
troubleshooting connectivity issues:
-try a reboot of the PC
-try different usb cables and ports
-dont use a usb hub
-dont use usb 3.0
-make sure nothing capable of comunicating with the phone is enabled and running. htc sync, pdanet, easy tether, and even itunes have all been known to cause issues.
-windows 8 has been known to have issues. try a windows 7 or older machine
failing the above,
-i use these drivers for fastboot and adb(donwload and run as admin): http://downloads.unrevoked.com/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe (mirror)
failing that, try manually updating the drivers in the following manner:
-put the phone in fastboot mode(select fastboot from the hboot menu)
-open device manager on the PC
-plug in phone, watch for it to pop up in device manager.
-update drivers with device manager, pointing the wizard to the extracted
driver download folder from above
note that you can check the connectivity of the phone, and make sure drivers are working by in the following manner:
-open cmd window. change to directory containing adb/fastboot utilities
-adb with the phone in the booted OS,usb debug enabled, enter:
adb devices in a cmd window
-fastboot with phone in fastboot,enter:
fastboot devices in cmd window
in either case,a properly connected phone with working drivers installed should report back the phones serial number.

Yes it is possible. Having a locked bootloader will NOT prevent you from flashing a recovery, firmware, or an ruu.
Files just need properly packed as a zip file, you cannot use the fastboot flash command.

@scotty1223 will this royally mess anything up if I try this on my Sprint M8?
A couple questions:
1). Does this actually change you back to locked the way <fastboot oem lock> would? or is it just changing the header text?
2). I see references to the Sprint M8 and this is in the M8 forum, but would if foul anyting up to try it on a Verizon M8 with the 3.16 HBoot?
Thanks for the clarification.
