Just thought i'd update where I am.

arag0n85's first initflashfiles.dat flashes fine with no problems.

His second, flashed OK, but it doesn't seem to run the initial setup, so no screen calibration, date/time and nothing in the Start menu.

I then tried removing a lot of stuff from the dump folder but leaving the original initflashfiles.dat untouched. I removed about 50MB, all flashed and working fine.

So I would say it looks like removing something from the initflashfiles.dat stops the initial setup.

well, maybe a bootable orange rom isn't as bad. You can talk to your operator for a replacement, you just need to say that the phone stopped booting if flash procedure goes wrong. But if you want it out, you will have it.

you're (all) too modest

giant baby steps or colossal strides

I mean fundamentally the hard part has been conquered.

We've taken a ROM from toshiba, fuct about with it

put it back on the phone

the changes (however low key or early days these changes may be) have worked & the phone boots up perfectly operational

this wasn't considered possible a matter of days ago & it really is only a few weeks since we all had to answer a poll to get official space on XDA...

......now look at you guys go
