Question
I have been running CM12 since mid March, updating every nightly that rolls out.

I now have a issue that came from the April 03 nightly. (April 04 Nightly has the same problem as well.)

After I flashed the April 03 nightly when I go to make a phone call I get an error/message "Cellular Network not available". I have a good strong LTE signal and data is still working.

I did a little poking around and found that when I go to phone testing (Dial *#*#4636#*#* ) and go to phone information; the set preferred network type is set as LTE/GSM. If I change it to LTE/CDMA I get my Cellular Network back, but I loose data. Same goes for LTE/GSM/CDMA.

I flashed back to stock and performed a PRL & Profile update, then flashed back to CM12 Apr03 Nightly, and I still have the exact same issues.

What changed between the April02 Nightly and the April03 Nightly that would cause this issue? Does anyone know of a fix?

Edit: Looking at the April 03 Nightly change log I am guessing it had to be something in the new android_frameworks_opt_telephony that is causing this issue.

Edit #2: I found what my issue was. I was on a different kernel and for some reason the CM12 kernel was not updating on the nightlies. I had to flash back to a stock rom and start over with a clean install of CM12. Once I was able to finally get back to the Apr03 kernel my connection issues went away and everything started working again.

Odd problem.

I just launched super su and it says there is no binary installed and super su can't do a typing about it. I can still flash and go to recovery. But no root.

How can I fix this?

Grab the latest supersu zip 2.46 from the supersu thread and flash it in recovery. Then you should be good to go.

Battery life on cm12.1 is amazing. Got almost 6 hours yesterday, usually got around 4 on cm12.

Holy crap.

I updated to the nightly from the 20th and ALL I get is force closes upon force closes. The phone is barely usable.

Inbox, play services, and YouTube are popping up that they closed every second or so. Help!

same thing for me. I gave up on this ROM yesterday after that happened to me . Too many bugs, especially the music player bug. I flashed Temasek's and I haven't looked back. I don't understand it , but its farther in development than this official CM12.1

All this being said. I would prefer to be running this ROM. I always try to go with official CM first, But in this case its not a option for me

Do you have a link for that rom? Now that S-health is a standalone app i no longer need to use TW and want to switch to CM

Its because starting with the April 17th Nightly; CM12 is now CM12.1. Its not CyanogenMods fault you do not have the right Google Apps installed. CyanogenMod does not officially support Google Apps. Everything that is crashing on you is because the Google Apps you do have installed is for CM12 (Android 5.0). To fix, you need to flash Google Apps for Android 5.1

You can find Google Apps for CM12.1 (Android 5.1) at PA-GOOGLE APPS Plus(All ROM's)
