Exclamation Anyone?
Anyone any closer to rooting? I've tried all root mathods mentioned above, to no avail. I've also tried Kingo root.

Thanks

I rooted the phone using the recovery on this page http://www.decker.su/2014/11/cwm-rec...-ot-6050y.html (using Google Translate to read the instructions) used SuperSu Update zip to actually root the phone after installing custom recovery.

As mentioned in the 6050Y topic, Alcatel released the sources of this phone (6036) as well on Alcatel Sourceforge!
Hope someone will pick-up the task and create something beautiful.

Have anyeone tried this on a 6036a? I see that the title says 6036y but the only differences between the 6036a and the 6036y are the size of the storage, the 6036a have 4gb while the 6036y have 8gb, and that the 6036y have nfc while the 6036a doesn't. Should that recovery work on the 6036a too?
