Hi Mods, I kindly request to have one for ZTE S2(S251) having Qualcomm 800 chip set. The Indian variant of ZTE S2 global version(S291) for which there is alredy a forum running.
Yeah wtf? What's the hate for this series? Devices get forums even before they come out. The A7 isn't a petty device either. I would like to see what kind of development is there before I get the device. But devs will certainly not be interested if it doesn't even have a damn forum.

I do own the A7 .. Working cyanogenmod .. Always better when there is a forum though
DAMN. There is no forum for ANY Galaxy A device... this really sucks.... the galaxy a series is a important series of an important manufacturer.... ADD GALAXY A ! ! ! OTHER PHONES GOT THEIR FORUMS BEFORE THEY COME OUT ! ! !

Your mistaking the fact that just because a device has a forum doesn't mean there will development for said device. Developers tend to only develop for devices they own.
Other devices get forums before release due to the fact that they will most likely see alot of development.
When looking at a device the only development you can count on is the stuff your willing to do yourself.
Now if the device suites you and you decide to get it then dig In and come up with something. This site was made by developers that got sick of it and did it themselves. It is not magic. Anyone can learn to do it. You just have to to want it.

My argument is that certain experienced devs do contribute even though they do not own a device. But I don't think they would bother if the device doesn't see an open forum.
Regardless, there are other aspects of the device I would very much like to discuss. For instance battery life and heating issues of the 615 processor, comparisons of certain devices in the same class, etc. I would like user opinions or maybe hands-on experiences and such things cannot be discussed properly without a forum and a dedicated thread.
This is my argument for requiring a dedicated forum. But of course it depends on how the Mods see it.

I totally agree man. What the mod said is true BUT without a development thread we can't do much. We need a development thread for the Samsung A series to spark the development and get the other developers attention/help.
plus I've seen other devices thread which is deader than the A series.
So pleeease please open up a development thread for Samsung Galaxy A series.

I mean we have so many requests here and I know some developers for the A series myself included (still a rookie tho) we really need the development thread please. what harm can it do if a development thread is opened up for Samsung Galaxy A series anyway right??

I really appreciate the trust and confidence into my capabilities that your message shows, but I as a moderator have no powers at all to create device fora.
However, it might be useful if you here share links to Redmi K60 Ultra related threads that already exist on XDA; especially links to development threads like ROM's, kernel, recoveries would be very helpful.

I don't understand it either. I mean, with all due respect, development is in progress for the device (I'm involved in it too; I'll launch a new Los build in the next few days). XDA is a great place for discussion and to show such progress (and also to incentivate it). We have other threads opened recently for devices which don't have any development at all (for instance, the X6 Pro, x6 neo, etc).There's a forum for development if a device doesn't have a dedicated thread yet:

So, you might want to consider to encourage the developers you know to post their work there.
Our forum administrator addressed his stance just about 6 weeks ago in this thread:

There are multiple devices in this category that seem to be served by a couple of monolithic threads that currently try to cover all the topics related to them. The two main categories of device seem to be HuiFei devices serviced by this thread (currently 9118 posts) and the AN-21 U devices by this thread (currently 6484 posts). Both devices ideally would have their own sub-forum as they are quite distinct development wise however a "Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units" forum would be a substantial improvement.
