Thank you.

Look in this thread. Rooting is step one.

Unlocking the bootloader will only be possible if you are not on the latest firmware. If you want an unlocked BL phone they are for sale on swappa, including mine. http://swappa.com/listing/MCD137/view

After reading some comments I decided to add quick walkthrough (there are other ones inside this thread, so you're not obligated to use mine:

1. Get root exploit either from the original thread or from my dropbox.
2. You can also download bl unlocker motopocalypse.apk from my dropbox.
3. Put those files on your phone.
4. Install tr.apk and motopocalypse.apk
5. Run tr.apk, wait till it reboots your phone.
6. Check if root is working, if it does then run motopocalypse.
7. Check in fastboot more if "status code" equals "3" (turn off your phone and start it with power button + vol up pressed simultaneously).
8. If it does, you can appreciate @geohut and @djrbliss work by donating to them.

I keep getting trust zone write failure -11

How to root and install custom rom to Razr HD XT926 on Jelly Bean (4.1)
Hi,

Hope I'm in the right thread to ask this.
I just unlocked a Verizon phone which I'm now using with T-Mobile using dragonhart6505 method.
[Tutorial] Unlock VZW Razr M/M HD (XT907/XT926) for U.S. Carriers *CDMA WS METHOD*
I guess this is not bootloader unlocking, just sim unlocking...

System Version 9.18.94 XT926
I'd like to know what thread(s) to follow to root the phone and install a custom rom.

Thanks a lot!

You're in the right thread but what about reading the first post?

DO NOT ACCEPT OTA OR UPGRADE TO THE LATEST OFFICIAL ROM!

Read he first post, make some investigation, unlock bootloader and after that is easy.

Sorry, but I'm still lost.
I received this phone with System Version 9.18.94, so I didn't accept or upgrade to latest ROM.

Regarding to unlockin the bootloader, according to this thread I can't unlock the bootloader.
By the way, how about the tools provided by Motorola to unlock the phone?

I'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks

You'll want to install the first Moto KK ROM (ends in .10) and the root/unlock the BL. I'd recommend using SamuraiHL's House of Moto to flash the ROM.

As I said, some investigation is needed. Sorry but I don't have time to do it instead of you and even if I have I don't wish to be blamed if something goes wrong. As stated in the post above, find a proper stock rom to flash then follow unlock procedure. There's no official unlock for xt926.

Do not under any circumstances flash the 15 build until you have unlocked. The 10 build is the only one that'll help you here. The house of moto will work fine to flash the 10 fxz. After that root with towel root and unlock with moto apocalypse.
