If you look in the T-Mobile folder you'll find kdz files for the D959. Use the kdz method.

I've tried the kdz method from multiple computers with multiple usb cords. It errors at 3%. Something along the lines of "lost connection". Was hoping there was an alternative to return to stock for D959.

Post a screen shot of the error. There's a few "errors" that can pop up but if it's a windowed error that you can move around if you move it you'll see that your phone is actually being flashed by a progress bar.

Did you make sure Lgemodem shows up under ports in the device manager?

Did you make sure the kdz is in the same folder as flashtool?

Did you run flashtool as administrator?

Lgemodem shows up, kdz is in same folder, ran flashtool as adim. At 2% in mobile support tool "Upgrade stopped due to error." Then it says disconnect phone, power cycle, reconnect and try again.
