Brightness , whitebalance is way of on my phone. So in my case this app was perfect one month ago. So far camera ICS+ is spot on. I really want to go CM9 but need a good camera...

Pictures from latest version, default settings... Darker one is stock camera.

Burst shot has been added now..

and as much as i know it should be possibel to do HDR images with the "Exposure bracketing" function?
but it doesn't merge the 3, 5 or 7 pics..

and it seems we can't go more than 1.2 exposure..

or i just have to learn more about all those functions.. x)

well i found out many things about the cam. but most importantly is: You'll never find a setting wich is the best for every situation.

Do it like i did: Try everything, and look for what all those functions are.
I googled much, but now i know what all those exposure settings, light metering and so many other things are..

this camera app is awsome when you know how to use it, and set up the right settings for each situation.

oh and btw, the sensation doesn't have a nice cam..

Hi,

I have been using camera fv-5 for quite some time now and I didn't have any issues until I installed android revolution hd 31.2 with JB 4.2 and now it doesn't support 8mp resolution but the built in cam does. I also read that even with the official JB 4.2 update it does the same issue. Any fix on this?

maybe it's because this app isn't really updated for android 4.2.2 or isn't compatible with htc like with older updates...i find stock camera is the best ...it's not too bright or so and with sharpness to -1 or -2 it's really good :)

thing is. stock camera's quality not really that good compared to pictures taken with camera fv-5. there's a lot of noise with th built-in camera. and I found out that it happened with all 3rd party camera apps.

Tap on the screen? Working here :p

:D
i did not mean initialize the auto focus. i meant to actually alter the focus. like turning the lens on a real dslr.

the auto focus never focuses properly on very close objects. it always bypasses the perfect sharpness and stays blurry. but obviously the hardware is able to focus properly as during the automatic focusing it reaches perfection... it just doesn't stop there -.-

Ooooh I understand!
This would be freaking amazing.. Probably mail the dev about that?

Hello starbase64!
I am using this app (paid version) on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with the latest android version (7.0 Nougat) ! It happens some issues like:

It's missing some setting like "Long exposure resolution" and the "image resolution" only allows 8 megapixels as maximum setting instead the default maximum resolution of the camera is 16 megapixels!
One more important thing is the "Image Parameters" setting! I cannot even control this setting on my phone while other devices with older android version (6.0) can do it normally! Therefore the image's quality I've shot is not good and details like others! Maybe there are some problems on the new android version(7.0) ! My you give me any advises or recommendation? Thank you so much.

    Hi,

this app works on my HTC One X.

The first app with working user customized exposure time (attached pictures)!

    Camera FV-5 > Google Play

    description said:
Camera FV-5 is a professional camera application for mobile devices, that puts DSLR-like manual controls in your fingertips. Tailored to enthusiast and professional photographers, with this camera application you can capture the best raw photographs so that you can post-process them later and get stunning results. The only limit is your imagination and creativity!
    Major features:
    • All photographic parameters are adjustable and always at hand: exposure compensation, ISO, light metering mode, focus mode, white balance and program mode.
    • DSLR-like viewfinder display: see exposure time, aperture and stops display with EV and bracketing settings.
    • Full fledged exposure bracketing: from 3 to 7 frames, unlimited stops spacing, plus custom EV shifting.
    • Built-in intervalometer: make stunning timelapses (even bracketed/HDR timelapses) and time-controlled picture series.
    • Program and Speed-priority modes.
    • Long exposure support: take beautiful night photos and light trails with long exposure times up to 60 seconds*.
    • JPEG as well as RAW (PNG**) image formats for lossless photo capturing, perfect for post-processing.
    • EXIF and XMP sidecar metadata support.
    • Self timer for delayed shooting.
    • Autofocus, macro, touch-to-focus*** and infinity focus modes, plus a focus lock switch (AF-L).
    • In background photo developing and processing allows a smooth, uninterrupted camera operation.
This camera application completely avoids scene modes, instead you get full manual control over all photographic parameters, just like you do with a reflex camera, so you can ultimately control every aspect of the picture, and leave the post-processing to the computer. So after your DSLR, you will never miss a photo opportunity again, being able to capture it with the closer sensation to your DSLR as possible.
If you find a bug using the application, please, visit the web page http://www.camera.flavionet.com or write to camerafv5@flavionet.com with your phone model name and the description of the problem, before writing a negative comment. Customer satisfaction is my priority, and I will try to fix it as soon as possible!
    * Long exposures lowers picture resolution to 2 or 1 MP, depending models. The reason is explained here: http://www.camera.flavionet.com/faq.php#long-exposure-resolution
** Lossless PNG saving is a memory intensive operation. Some devices might need to raise the memory limit for Camera FV-5 to save PNG pictures. See the FAQ here: http://www.camera.flavionet.com/faq.php#png-memory
*** Touch-to-focus available only on Motorola, HTC and Nvidia camera drivers, plus some Samsung drivers and other phones.

    with friendly greet

    Hi,

here is the last message from developer:

    > Hi,
    >
    > I just found the crash log that you wrote “HTC One X with Android 4.0.3 Stock App is crashed Starbase64”. Just to find and fix the error: did you had the photo review option turned on? I will try to fix the error so that it doesn’t happen again, and I will include the fix in the next update.
