Thanks for your help Sheila.
When I type "google gms" into Play Store I get GMS Dialer, Google Analytics and a load of other stuff that looks more like games.
Not really sure what I'm looking for?
Thanks again

try to follow these step next, it is a way could fix your problem without root.

1. Open the application market (the system comes with )
2. Select Category ------select recommend theme, then drop down to find the google gms Area
3. Install the contact synchronization service, calendar synchronization service, google play
Then add the Google account, you can directly contact the synchronization.

hello everybody
i really want to thank you about such wonderful discussion
and i wanted to know some information about the huawei x1

i currently have Samsung note 2 for over two years now
the note is great but i wanted a little more screen not to mention more battery juice and it would be great to have a little more camera resolution as well
i have seen so many reviews and been through lots of reading about the x1
some talk about the slow stuttering interface specially with the jelly bean
some talk about the kitkat update solving those issues
some talk about the camera pictures not being on the level of the specification

my brother has a Samsung note 3 and being a note user i certainly would buy a note 3
but what about the x1 is it really great buy or i am going to regret it as soon as i start using it

i use the device to read e books and watch videos along with some social media activity

should i stay away from the x1?
should i consider ascend mate 2 with 6.1 inch screen , and get a decent camera with a little bigger screen than the note 3?
please if you can give me advice don't hesitate
thanks in advance

Thumbs up
Hi,
The overriding reason that I bought the Mediapad X1 was the battery life.
I've had many phones over the years and have always found that I was changing battery up to 3 times a day.
I have NEVER had to recharge the X1 (you can't CHANGE the battery) even though I have GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi on continuously.
Never found it particularly sluggish even with multiple apps open, though I don't stream videos so don't know if this is a problem.
The only oddity is that push notifications are somewhat erratic, and emails etc. don't necessarily arrive unless you open the app. Texts are always OK.
This may, of course, just be mine that does this and not a general feature of the X1
Hope this helps!

My advice is wait for the X2. The X1 looks like the same spec as the Note 2 but it definitely isn't. It's very slow, even after the KitKat update. The camera is not very good. On the plus side, the battery life is amazing on the X1.
