Well I figured it out. Ran into some trouble with SuperSU not installing or something but it seems OK now (boots into Installation/Setup).
Possibly didn't like installing from /int_sd/?

Never used int_sd for that, so don't know this time.
Yes, rom is without root, but there is no need to install, if you don't need.

I have this same system in UK on Orange...unlocked by htcdev - s-on - rooted - 2.60.3 twrp installed-My question is,i dont see any info apart from on this thread re OS (OS-3.11.61.10) what is the difference re ... 3.11.401.1 etc etc?

Not sure, what you want to know, but 3.11.61.10 is carrier branded software, 3.11.401.1 is not branded.

I rooted/unlocked/S-Off'd my brothers HTC One SV (K2_ul) months ago but could not find the right recovery. Even after hours of forum trolling and installing and clearing about 30 other (wrong) recoveries.

okay guys so im having the SAME problem the only difference is i own the cricket variant of this phone. My phones battery went completely dead last night and when i plugged it up to charge it, it stays at the htc screen in a bootloop.

Well, i'm sorry to say, but i don't have any files for cricket that could help you in this situation. 
When I run the RUU for my phone it says that the version it's trying to install is the wrong one. Now I may have flashed a newer stock image than what I had previously. Is there anyway that I can downtrend this version then run an RUU file for it? I just wish I knew what to do to fix this? I've found the exact same problem but now I can't find the correct files.. How is this possible Lol

Because it was never updated to the latest hboot. Besides that, it has a framework bug, that was never fixed. (But at the time it was released, it was very important for the One SV community).
And beside: even the TWRP from official download page does not work, because it was not updated. The guy who made the "official" is a boost user and they don't have the updste until now.1Never used int_sd for that, so don't know this time.
