Yes. That's because Gluon uses different modules for wi-fi and they aren't compatible with stock kernel. So, you need to reflash stock rom.
You could also extract the module from stock rom and replace it on your phone, but reflashing is more practical.

Its fixed now, i have restore my previous backup from cwm after installing stock kernel and its all good now, thanks to u

I need to flash i8552 kernel from fastboot
my device is in a bootloop, I can't go into download or recovery, and I can just get into fastboot... I am trying everything, please somebody help
