These are the rebadged version of the powerqi, majoriy of the ebay stuff are OEM

any information about qi that sellers are stating about faster charging, this is just a load of crap.

Thanks for the update. I now have a better understanding after going through this thread and have shortlisted to receiver #2. Btw, many of the receivers that you have posted on the first page of this thread are readily available from aliexpress as well (after much googling), at a fraction of the cost with free shipping, at least, for the part of the world where I stay. Once again, many thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge with us and please, keep up the good work.

God bless.

I have a cheapo receiver off ebay. It works fine with my cheapo base from ebay. Possitioning is important, I guess better basses help with this.

It is 2mm thick at the thickest point (0.08inches). It bulges the case a bit. I am not worried about the bulg, but am worried that the IP67 rating is ruined.

Anyone have thickness measurements for other QI receivers?

I got one question. I'm looking for the thinnest receiver and you have mentioned that number 3:

image: i60.tinypic.[COM]/o8avzt.jpg

is the thinnest one you have tested so far.

It seems that they have released new version of the same receiver that looks like this:

image: g04.a.alicdn.[COM]/kf/HTB1N8rPHXXXXXcuaXXXq6xXFXXXX/202878826/HTB1N8rPHXXXXXcuaXXXq6xXFXXXX.jpg?size=79551&heigh t=800&width=800&hash=b8430432ee9662df5ff8a66c34e66 3c2

Did you try it? Is it the same thickness ? It seems that this new version supports NFC.

The new one has the ic position under the flash, making it slightly pop up.
Both works with nfc.

Thanks a lot. I guess I will try to get the old version

Also can you recommend any charging pad for this receiver?

I've seen some 3 coils chargers. Are they worth the extra $ ?

Hmmm....I've been using the RAV Power wafer ($7.99) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o05_s00

With this case : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o05_s00

With no issues since I've had my GS5. Pretty nice combo for under $25 IMO.

You can buy direct from yijieneng, but it will be quite expensive, or you can try ebay, it may be rebadged to a different name, as yijieneng mainly use there name with product sold direct in china, even in china it's not easy to find.
