Jumped to Sprint from Verizon and just S-Off and unlocked bootloader. Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 and after trying to reboot into recovery the screen sits at the HTC logo screen with Entering Recovery at the top. It been like that for about ten minutes. Am I doing something wrong?

I tried both the zip and img.

Your firmware is probably out of date. You can update your firmware or flash an older version of TWRP

on unlocked Sprint M8 harman&kardon android 4.4.2,
I met a problem, fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-m8_whl.img is good,brings up TWRP without flashing;
but
fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.0-m8.img
fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.8.6.0-m8.img
fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-m8_whl.img
are all fail, the fastboot log tells booting is OK, but phone size, it will freeze for about 5 seconds and then auto reboot system to destop/hand-free activation.
it is stock SW, only unlocked bootloader from offical htcdev.com

fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.0-m8_whl.img also works, with 14.9 MB (15,706,112 Bytes) I guess there is a limitation that fastboot targetcode in aboot.img limited the image files max size as 15MB, since all my fail image is larger than 15MB, and all success files are less than 15MB...

The problem is you need to update your firmware. Once you do that, you can use the newer version just fine.

Capt.

Do you have a new one out? I checked Mik, but didn't see anything new.

Yours has been solid.
