If he's just saying it's a driver mismatch with the modem, why not just wait a little bit? People are doing test builds from the official LG sources now, at least I know they are for the VS980.

Slim governor issue

I wanted to make you aware of an issue with the slim governor in your R11 LP kernel, D800. While using it, eventually, the LGE Charging Scenario service will not be released as normal, causing excessive battery drain. Rebooting nor flushing caches will resolve the issue, though changing to a different governor will.
In looking around it seems other kernels and other governors have had this issue before, not releasing LGE Charging Scenario. I am unsure as to the fix though that they discovered.
Using SmartMax for now, which works quite well.

For the bootloader use autorec

I'm currently running CM12 Latest build nightly for my G2 (D800) Would it be wise for me to flash this kernel (Kitkat backup currently experiencing bootloop) or would I have to wait for a stable release? I'm scared to brick this device

Got it to boot. But cant get the screen to unlock. Black screen once it sleeps.

The kernel config is just a little different with the d802 or f320x, I have built one Dorimanx kernel for it. It's OK.1
Just open SYNAPSE search that TOOL option and click Update Touchscreen Firmware.11
