OK it's the CWM app . first page of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2692843

I'm bummed LOL. The ouya does not show the Ethernet as a option . So I guess I'll have to update.

the last time it took me forever to figure this root out. LOL I watched a very noise youtube vid and this forum . But I did it whoo !

So here's what I have Ver ... 4.4.2 built 20140510 and the little man with the black hat (rom guy) Ver. 5.53.7

Kodi is working fine, sound to. The over clocking was fix by using my tv pic size.

So the problem I just started having has been with getting alot of buffering . I would hate to have mess with what I have so far.

Do I need to update to get the Ethernet turned on?

If yes will I get all the problem peeps are having here in this thread?

Do I need to update the rom manager to ? If yes do I uninstall the old one first?

Also do I do this manually or does the rom app install the update rom for me?

Sorry for so many ?????

hi,
the current Cyanogenmod can be found here:
http://milaq.net/downloads/ouya/cm-11.0/
as you can see, you are on a quite old version.... (more than a year)

I 'm using the ouya with CM11, running Kodi 15 and using pass-through. My audio receiver recognises the DD51 and DTS streams I sent it.

The only time when the pass-through does not work is when I use Kodi as a launcher. It probably needs time to initialize...

Cheers,
Dulin.

(tested with Kodi 15.1 and SPMC 15.0.0+14.2)

I have this same problem.
When i go into system settings i can't change the audio output from android, audiotrack which is greyed out.

Dulin may you post your config?

I really did not configure anything. It just worked.
I am using the HDMI output via a HMDI -> IR-audio splitter and that's what my audio receiver receives via the optical audio input.

Ofcourse you need to select direct audio output in Kodi. You do not need to change the "android, audiotrack" output.
Does that help?

Cheers,

Dulin.

Nope
I tried a couple of times.
With different versions of CyanogenMod and Kodi (nightly too).
The receiver is connected only via an HDMI cable.
Every time when I deselect passthrough I have PCM sound (receiver displays the source as PCM) . When I select passthrough, I have only noise (but Receiver displays now source as DTS).
On the original firmware OUYA and old XBMC it was enough to change the source on the receiver for a moment, and go back, and the DTS worked.
