At the risk of sounding like an idiot... Does this still work with whatever the most recent update is? The reason I ask, is that I recently dropped my S5 running MOAR and after that, it's been having issues playing audio over bluetooth, and videos in general. So I called up Asurion and had them send a replacement. I would like to unroot my current phone, and root the new one and put the most updated MOAR rom on it. However, I don't have internet where I live. So, after I unroot my phone, I won't be able to use it for internet while I root my new one.

Basically, I just don't want to get screwed and have to download everything on my phone, and transfer it to the computer.

tl;dr Does this work with the most current updated software?

Towelroot does not work on the latest no. CF Auto root, as far as I know, is the only way to do it.

So it's safe to go ahead with CF Auto-Root as of today (8/31/2015). I just bought a S5 (vanilla.. not active or whatever else) yesterday.
