Still doesn't work. If I reboot my Fire TV then I have to open adbFire and click SSH. Then it works. The "SSH server at boot" box is checked and remains checked. I use the adbfire.ppk to login to the Fire TV. Could that be causing this issue?
Only reason I do that is because I don't know the default username and password for root.
SSH is set up for no-password operation. Android doesn't have 'users' per sae, ssh logins are for UID 0 / root.
Check for /etc/init.d/03sshd. This is what starts sshd at boot.
If it's not there, go to edit device and make sure you check the ssh @ boot checkbox, then save the record. The write of the init.d file occurs during the file save.
After doing this check /etc/init.d again.
If /etc/init.d/03sshd is still not there check your log for errors.
