I know this is likely a silly question, but I've been looking to port Cyanogenmod 12 to my device, and I feel this tool may be useful.
I've spent the last few days attempting to get a hold of my boot.img and recovery.img with little luck, due to the fact that they seem to be hidden from 'cat /proc/mtd', 'cat /proc/emmc' and 'cat /proc/partitions'. It is quite frustrating, honestly. From Cyanogenmod's wiki, it seems like the first step of many, too.
With this, after I build a recovery from my stock, could I go through and swap /data, /system/app, /system/framework, /system/fonts, /system/media, /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so, /system/lib, /system/etc/init.d around from an already built recovery of the ROM I'd like, THEN modify the build.prop to include all the information I need?
I hope that is correct, but I am still quite new to this. Please, forgive me.
